the roof that goes up in smoke

Mobile picnic pavilion

“The roof that goes up in smoke” was the meeting place of the three-day art festival Allerzielen.nu. It consists of two large picnic tables, a floating roof and a wood-burning stove. The plastic foil roof is inflated and lifted with hot air. The air is heated by a wood stove, on which hot chocolate, baked potatoes and chestnuts and soup can also be made. The pavilion can accommodate 40 people and spreads a warm light over their nighttime picnic.

After the pavilion was inaugurated during Allerzielen in 2010, it has travelled to many festivals and gatherings in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
